I believe i was an extrovert in my younger days but definitely an ambivert in my older years. I enjoy being with ppl especially friends. But definitely heading to introvert.

Well done and on point. As you well know I too am an introvert despite my having spent my career in the front of the room teaching, speaking, and facilitating. Oddly enough, most of my professional speaker colleagues are also introverts. Love the checklists you included and am sure they may be revealing to some of your readers. Great post!!

Solidarity brother! I'm a classic introvert with a touch of ambivert. I get peopled out quickly in large groups. I don't think through what I'm going to say before I say it very often though. With comedy timing is everything and I have a lot of funny stuff to say. 😁 This trait also gets me in trouble.

I alternated nodding my head with laughter throughout this. I totally fit the introvert tendencies, with a smidgeon of ambivert added. The lack of humidity today is lovely!

I've always considered myself an extrovert because I've never been shy and can talk to anyone. After reading this I'm certainly an ambivert. I've been in the big group settings where everyone is in small groups talking and I stood there not really wanting to stick out a hand and introduce myself and didn't. If someone started a conversation with me I was off to the races. I really don't like parties, refusing to have one for my retirement. I'm good with dinner with another couple but usually prefer it to be just Karen and me. Career wise I excelled at cold calling. Meeting someone for the first time was easy. But it was for a purpose, to create a business relationship. I have no need to make friends just to add to the list. Recently I made friends with family new to the area that moved into our part of the Seaford. I felt compelled to help them get established here and help them settle in. They're now attending our church. So, I had a reason. I look forward to reading your email every day. Sometimes you make me laugh. Sometimes you make me think.
