On Monday, I experienced a frightening health episode when I fainted and was rushed to the emergency room. There, I learned that my irregular heartbeat was caused by dangerously low blood pressure, which can sometimes mimic the symptoms of a heart attack as the heart struggles to pump blood effectively. I remained in the hospital for three days for testing, thankfully in a private room with only my phone for company. During this time, I turned to my phone to read and listen to the Bible, seeking solace and understanding.
While reflecting on my situation and the world around me, I came across John 12:23-24, which resonated deeply: “Jesus replied, ‘The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.’” This verse spoke to me profoundly, offering perspective on sacrifice, renewal, and the hope of new beginnings, which felt especially meaningful given my recent health challenges and what I observe happening in the world.
Yes, thank you. It’s my adrenal gland. It’s funny. I enjoyed my time to myself. I listened to the Bible and read constantly. It was so soothing and relaxing.
I think there are a lot of us in the same boat…
You are not alone, my friend.
I don't think you are alone right now Bill. The quiet in our minds and souls is where we can take solace right now and pray.
I feel the same way. Sad…praying
My soul feels weary. Quiet too.
Ditto.......
Right on Bill.

Are you ok now Beth?

I've got no comment to make. I just want you to know I'm here.
I feel the same way. It's been a sad & reflective week for me. Making changes in relationships and seeking God more.
God Bless your quiet time as he speaks to you and me.
