Smart and dumb things.
“He wants to have his cake, and eat it too.”
That never made sense to me. I guess I am too literal. How can he eat the cake if he doesn’t have it in the first place?
Apparently the original phrase was, “eat his cake and have it too”, which actually makes sense.
Today’s version?
Dumb.

Julie’s car has a heated steering wheel. I didn’t know this until a couple of days ago. Game changer.
My hands are always cold. Sometimes I hold them over the heater vent to warm them up. Sometimes I turn on the seat heater and then sit on my hands (one at a time, when driving) to get them warm.
Not in Julie’s car.
It. Is. Awesome.
When I am elected President, I shall order every car to have a heated steering wheel.

How many times have you heard somebody say they finally found a lost item in “the last place I looked!”
Of course it was the last place you looked because you found it and stopped looking.

Pluribus is Vince Gilligan’s latest masterpiece.
But they’re releasing one episode per week, on Friday’s.
Is this 1977?
Dumb.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town by Michael Jackson and The Jackson Five is the worst Christmas song ever. He screams it. I’d rather hear the dogs bark Jingle Bells.
Stop hating on Mariah Carey until they destroy all taped recordings of this Michael Jackson song.

Getting a Michelin star is one of the most coveted prizes in the world for a restaurant. One or more stars almost guarantees success beyond imagination.
I always figured that this had nothing to do with Michelin tires.
Different industry. Couldn’t be more unrelated. Had to be a different company, right?
Wrong.
The Michelin company created the Michelin Guide in 1900 to encourage drivers to travel more, which would increase tire sales.
That is the craziest, most-random marketing idea I have ever heard. And it worked.

Speaking of which, ever heard of a Yamaha piano? How about a Yamaha motorcycle?
Same company?
Yes, originally.
Musical instrument maker Yamaha Corporation and motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha Motor both originate from the same company: Nippon Gakki Co., Ltd.
Quoting from their website: Nippon Gakki’s casting technology, developed to achieve strength as well as elasticity in piano frames, would prove very useful in casting the motorcycle engine’s cylinder, a component that had to be light, but very durable.
That’s out of the box diversification.
Smart.

Maybe that's why Michael's voice got so soft later on. All that screaming.
Still don't care for MC.
I look forward to your posts! So good…and funny too!🤗
