Miscellany
Few things are as useless as an interview with an NFL coach immediately after halftime.
“So what did you tell ‘em Coach”
“Well, we need to score some points. We gotta move the ball and get in the red zone and then convert. We just need to play better.”
“Thanks Coach. Let’s go to the other side for an update there.”
“Thanks Alice. So what did you tell ‘em in the locker room, Coach?
“Well, we just need to play better. Move the ball and score some points. That’s what its going to take to win the game. Points.”
“Thanks Coach.”
That’s a brilliant segment, sports fans.
And it’s the same every week, regardless of the network, the reporter and the coach.
I miss John Madden.

I started following Logan’s Candy on Facebook and Instagram.
They post videos showing how they make candy, and it is mesmerizing.
The problem is, I now get videos from every other candy maker in the world, but trust me on this. Logan’s is worth following.

I used to consider myself an unpaid member of the Facebook Police. Somebody would post something blatantly false, and I’d correct them. Share fake news, I’d let you know.
I finally grew up and stopped doing that.
I found that most people didn’t care or believe me, and often I was responding to click bait…posts designed to elicit comments like mine.
Now I mostly ignore those posts. If there is a pattern of just dumb or false stuff, I either unfollow or unfriend.
It’s a lot more productive for all of us.

“The power of stepping away.” Now THAT’S powerful.
Agree with the coach interviews...and also miss John Madden...who I passed on the street on day while in California working with a client walking by himself in the early evening.
